After submitting the form, you will receive an email from the Recreation Program Coordinator confirming if your child has a spot.
Each child is required to have their ASSAI Participant Information Form completed before attending program. The Recreation Program Coordinator will email you a link to this form with confirmation of a spot. This form only needs to be completed once per school year.
Important to note:
- As of September 2023, all James Bay Elementary School Students can participate – including those in the OSC After School Program. Please note that this is a trial.
- Priority will be given to students who have not participated in an ASSAI program in the past.

Mondays (Grades 1-2) – Art Classes with Jessie
Dates: Jan 15 – Mar 11
Time: 2:38-4:00pm

Tuesdays (Grades 2-3) – Yoga with Natalie
Dates: Jan 16 – Mar 5
Time: 2:38-4:00pm
Wednesdays (Grades 3-5) – Swimming Lessons at Crystal Pool – FULL
Dates: Jan 10 – Mar 13
Time: 2:38-5:00pm
Thursdays (Grades 3-5) – Music with Nick
Dates: Jan 18 – Mar 7
Time: 2:38-4:00pm
ASSAI Registration Winter 2024
Our After School Sports and Arts Initiative programs are offered through the James Bay Community School Centre. These programs are offered to students who attend the James Bay Community School. We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Community Sport and Cultural Development, allowing us to provide this FREE program for the children of the JBCS.
