About our Childcare Team

Staff in our programs are selected for their dedication to creating safe and supportive environments that allow young people to explore and grow. All of our team members have current certificates in Standard First Aid and CPR-C, a current clear Criminal Record Check, and a minimum of 20 hours of related training and education. Our programs are enhanced by the unique background that each team member contributes, and we appreciate the range of expertise and experience that they have to share.

FAQs

How much do your childcare programs cost?
Childcare costs vary depending on the program and attendance options. Playschool (unlicensed) is between $175.00 and $285.00/month. Out of School Care is between $100.00 and $320.00/month. Please see the individual program descriptions for more information.

Why do we pay the same childcare fees each month, even though some months are shorter than others?
Our childcare fees have been added up for the entire year, and then spread out evenly from month to month. This allows families to make equal payments each month, rather than smaller payments on short months and larger payments on longer months. We have found that this makes tracking payments easier for everyone.

Curious Cove Kids Playschool (3-5yrs): 9:00am-11:30am
Before School Care: 7:30am-8:45am

Curious Cove Kids Playschool (3-5yrs): 12 spaces

Will food be provided?
After School Care participants are provided with an afternoon snack. We provide items from at least 2 of the 4 food groups from Canada’s Food Guide. Our menu varies each month depending on participant preference and seasonal availability. Some of our current favourites include: black bean dip, noodle soup, and popcorn Friday!

Are there childcare subsidies available?

We are happy to support students as they pursue their education, and we love to add practicum students to our team as space allows.
