Curious Cove Playschool

Curious Cove is a welcoming playschool program for young children, offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., September through June.
Our program provides children with opportunities to learn, play, explore, build friendships, and develop important social and early learning skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Program Information
Curious Cove operates from September to June and is closed for:
- Statutory holidays
- Winter Break
- Spring Break
- Professional Development Days
Please note: Children must be 3 years of age or older and fully toilet trained on their first day of school.

To register, please contact the James Bay Community School Centre front desk at 250-389-1470 or visit us at the Centre.
Once your initial registration is complete, our Out of School Care Coordinator will contact you by email with additional information and any required paperwork.
Staff Safety & Qualifications
The safety and well-being of the children in our programs is our priority. All Centre employees working directly with children are required to have:
- A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance
- Current First Aid C & CPR certification
2026–2027 Program & Fees
For the 2025–2026 school year, Curious Cove Playschool is offered 2–5 days per week, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
